You, Sir, give me entirely tooooo much credit.
The only reason I was able to keep up with you on your BKing is that you were setting a good pace that we could all follow and have fun with. You and I discussed the fact that you don't like to set a pace that someone is going to get hurt trying to keep up and I appreciate it!

I had even more fun this year than last! *starts attempting to save up for a trip to The Dragon sometime next year* With my annual bonus and taxes...I might be able to scrape enough together. But, The bike should be breathing even better by then.

Can't wait to see you all again (Mike, Karen, Gary, Toni) Thank you all for the great times that we've already had together and I look forward to many more in the future!!!!!!!!

Granted i wasnt flogging it. But we were setting a nice brisk pace. In comparision to other guys on cruisers you were riding very well.

Cant wait to do it again as well!

I dont ride it to hard Ctaytk he can a test to this. Its just I don't feel any input from the tires. The Metzeler Sportec M3 was a big help on my other bike better input and just flat out felt better setting it in the corners.

So more than anything its a personal preference thing not enough feed back or feel, I have read a lot of people complaining about the tires. But as long as I have been riding i have always used Dunlop tires , Except on my Honda Cr 500 they will not stay on that bike, But metz will. I not showing off or anything I would not do that but it is easy to show than to try and type it. This is stock Dunlops on my bike with about 3700 miles on them. Well i can ride the bike but cant figure out how post more than one pic at a time... i hope i did not upset anyone special you Jim. But i push the tires to the limits with never a OH SH@T moment , If they still made the same tire I would buy another set but they dont. The only other tire i have that out performs the Dunlop is the new Avon and i never though i would wast a dime on a Avon, but i have been made to believe very sticky, lots of feed back all the feel you could ever need or want with the stock suspension.

Well...if you don't want to mortgage your home for a set of tires...give the Dunlop E3 tires a chance. I think that you'll find that they give MUCH more feedback and MUCH better feel than the stock tires. I have ridden with both the Metz & Dunnlop E3 and I won't be going back to Metz unless they stop making the E3.

Not to mention that if you don't like them....you didn't waste 5-6 hundred bucks on tires just to try them out. I have noticed that the Dunnie E3's need a little more warming up at the beginning of a ride, but not so much as to be a bother. I never ride overly agressively straight out of the box anyway...

To me the stock dunnies felt ROUGH on bumps. They seemed to transfer rather than absorb all the indifferences in road surface. I was able to get the stock tires to slid loose a couple of times just slight nothing major. Due to the amount of roughness i could not get as much feed back as i wanted from the tires.

I prefered the Metz 130/260 tire combo. I tried the dunnie 250 it was a better tire than stock. IMO i had more feedback from the road it also absorbed more bumps.

My experience with the metz front and dunnie back combo was that it developed a high speed, sort of speed wobble when cornering aggressively. Not when the tires were new but once you get about half of the rear tire worn down.

ALL IN ALL...

Stock tires = moderate mileage, high price, low feedback, harsh feeling
Metz front/dun rear = Good feedback, good mileage, good price, speed wobble
Metz front/rear = Great feedback, good mileage, moderate price, soft ride.

Handling...

Stock tires = hard to get to push over to line, constant and predictable
E3 dunnie = moderate push to line, constant and predictable (some doubt on speed wobble at first)
Metz combo = Very fast push to line, constant and predictable nearly telepathic handling.

Thats my .02 i never used the pirelli or avon tires on the M109.

I do believe that it's when you go to a 300 rear tire on a 10" rim.
I'm pretty sure that Mike had a 10" rim with a 280 on the rear and other than having to take parts off of the rim & assembling it after he had angled it around the swingarm....he had no problems with it.

i got 280 on factory rim so far it made 8000 km normal conditione
