Hi, i did over 450 km on my new R2 and still hear a quite loud noise when changing gears, Agent mechanic says the noise will go after the first oil change at 1000 km.

IS THAT NORMAL?
Thank You (Shukran in Arabic)

Hi Shukran.
The M109R is an extremely large V-twin bike. That being said, it also has a pretty large & noisy set of gears in it. You may find that the noise tones down a very little bit with your first oil change, but probably not.
They do make shift kits for the bike which some state that the bike is quieter during shifting and easier to shift, but so long as you shift like you mean it, you shouldn't have any problems with it.

if you have a loud noise now, changing the oil is not going to make it go away, oil is just a lubricant, its not magic. If its that loud something is wrong.
How does it shift?, how loud is loud?, any mods done

I have owned my Suzuki M109R for a couple of months now. While I agree that there are some flaws like first and second gear operation and the gearbox is a bit clunky, I have to say that I just had the 800 mile service and wow what a difference! The gear box has smothed out dramatically and operation in general is much much smoother.
I'm glad it shifts are getting better time goes on it will get even smoother.
very nice reading thanks for posting the web address
