This just happened to me tonight after riding about an hour I pulled in at a friends for about two hours. When it can time to start the bike the F1 code was showing of course she would not start. After about five trys I thought some more and thought maybe the fuel pump did not cycle when I turned the key on. Well I guessed right and left the key on and turn the kill switch to off and then back to on. Well now the fuel pump cycled and the bike started am guessing I'm not the first person to have this problem.

Yikes...try accidentally bumping your kill switch at an intersection while waiting for the light to turn green. Fortunately, it wasn't a busy intersection and I figured out what it was on my own. I had only had the bike for 3 days at the time.

Glad it was something so easy to fix! It was that the kill switch had been kicked right?

I just re-read your post and it appears as though it might not have been bumped. I've not heard of this problem before.

Hey Bud

I was not drinking that night LOL :) The kill switch was on when I was trying to start it the first time. I'm guessing turning the kill switch off and then back to on must have reset some thing. But if this happens to you this maybe of some help I'm going to call it code F1

Well...since all of the mods are done on mine now...I wouldn't want to ride his bike. Specially since I have that nice comfy backrest...LOL
