Set my bike on its side.. not by choice. Basically it fell over when someone came off the back. I have some rub on the end of the clutch lever, the emblem on the tank, and on the end of the gear selector. Since it was on its side, I now have an issue putting it into 1st gear from N sometimes. It sticks, wont shift. Any ideas? It does not appear that the selector shaft / pedal is bent.. maybe it is. Could it be something in the linkage? New 9, only 100 miles on it. Thanks for any help.

OK...this is going to sound like a stupid statement...
Try letting the clutch completely out and then shifting into first.
My bike will not shift into first 9 times out of 10 straight from Neutral when I first start the bike.

If this doesn't help, you should definitely have a mechanic take a look at it.
