What is the trick for disconnecting the seat lock cable? The manual says to disconnect it, but doesn't say how.

I think it would be like the Hayabusa the cable should have a ball on the end of it. Check by the seat latch

Yes it is similair, the latch cable comes off just like a throttle cable, once you get slack, you just spin the little coupler around until it comes out, really easy
